Highlights
Tourist arrivals
1. The number of tourist arrivals for the year 2021 decreased by 41.8% to attain 179,780 compared to 308,980 for the year 2020.
2. Tourist arrivals by air decreased by 36.0% from 279,325 in the year 2020 to 178,733 in year 2021 while those arriving by sea decreased by 96.5% from 29,655 to 1,047.
3. The performance of our usual main markets, accounted for 69% of total tourist arrivals in the year 2021 compared to 67% in the year 2020. Comparative figures for the years 2020 and 2021 are given in the table below:
