Tourist arrivals

The number of tourist arrivals increased from 2,772 in the first quarter of 2021 to 158,818 in the first quarter of 2022.

2. Tourist arrivals by air increased from 2,648 in the first quarter of 2021 to 158,008 in the first quarter of 2022 while those arriving by sea increased from 124 to 810.

3. The performance of our usual main markets, accounted for 69% of total tourist arrivals in the first quarter of 2022 compared to 41% in the first quarter of 2021. Comparative figures for first quarter 2021 and first quarter 2022 are given in the table below:
