1. PPI-M, which stood at 110.0 in June 2019, registered an increase of 0.2 point (+0.2%) during the third quarter of 2019 to reach 110.2 in September 2019. On a monthly basis, PPI-M increased by 0.1 point (+0.1%) in July and August 2019, and remained unchanged in September 2019.
2. The average PPI-M for the third quarter of 2019 stood at 110.2, i.e. an increase of 0.5 point (+0.5%) from 109.7 in the second quarter of 2019. Compared to the corresponding quarter of 2018, the average PPI-M for the third quarter of 2019 increased by 1.5 points (+1.4%), mainly explained by higher prices of “Food products and beverages” (+1.5%), “Other products” (+8.3%), “Wearing apparel” (+2.3%) and “Other non-metallic mineral products” (+0.9%).
