Construction Price Index - 3rd Quarter 2019
Highlights
1. The publication presents a new series of monthly Construction Price Indices for the period October 2018 to September 2019 with first quarter 2018 as base period.
2. The Construction Price Index went up by 1.0% from 101.6 in the second quarter to 102.6 in the third quarter of 2019, due to an increase in the “Materials” sub-index (1.4%) following price increases of:
(i) block in July (26.2%);
(ii) premixed concrete in July (1.1%) and August (0.7%);
(iii) timber carpentry in July (0.5%);
(iv) tiles and granite in July (0.7%);
(v) paint in July (1.9%) and August (1.5%);
(vi) laminated flooring in September (0.9%).
