1. Monthly index

Overall index

•        ​- PPI-A, which was 159.2 in March 2022, decreased by 10.7% to reach 142.1 in June 2022. The monthly decreases were as follows: April (-2.5%), May (-6.8%) and June (-1.7%).
  
  Sugar cane
         - The index for the period July 2021 to June 2022 was 172.7 based on the final price of sugar for the crop year 2021. This represents an increase of 19.2% over the price of sugar for the crop year 2020.

Other crop products

       - The index for "Other crop products" which was 196.6 in March 2022, decreased by 38.7% to reach 120.5 in June 2022, mainly due to decreases in the prices of fresh vegetables (tomato, creepers, carrot and other fresh vegetables) (-53.7%).

Animals and animal products

       - The index for the sub-group "Animals and animal products" which was 123.3 in March 2022, increased by 17.0% to reach 144.3 in June 2022, mainly due to increases in the prices of poultry (+21.0%) and eggs (+10.4%).

2. Quarterly index

•       - The overall index for the second quarter of 2022 increased by 3.9% when compared to the previous quarter and by 21.3% when compared to the corresponding quarter.
