Tourist arrivals
The number of tourist arrivals increased from 901,126 in the first nine months of 2023 to 971,800 in the first nine months of 2024.
2. Tourist arrivals by air increased from 892,633 in the first nine months of 2023 to 949,481 in the first nine months of 2024 while those arriving by sea increased from 8,493 to 22,319.
3. The performance of our usual main markets, accounted for 68% of total tourist arrivals in the first nine months of 2024 compared to 69% in the first nine months of 2023. Comparative figures for first nine months of 2023 and first nine months of 2024 are given in the table below:
