Tourist arrivals

     The number of tourist arrivals increased from 9,460 in the first nine months of 2021 to 638,332 in the first nine months of 2022.

2.  Tourist arrivals by air increased from 8,919 in the first nine months of 2021 to 636,176 in the first nine months of 2022 while those arriving by sea increased from 541 to 2,156.

3.  The performance of our usual main markets, accounted for 71% of total tourist arrivals in the first nine months of 2022 compared to 52% in the first nine months of 2021.  Comparative figures for first nine months of 2021 and first nine months of 2022 are given in the table below:
