​Tourist arrivals

1.  The number of tourist arrivals increased from 376,556 in the first semester of 2022 to 596,466 in the first semester of 2023.

2.  Tourist arrivals by air increased from 375,246 in the first semester of 2022 to 589,305 in the first semester of 2023 while those arriving by sea increased from 1,310 to 7,161.

3.  The performance of our usual main markets, accounted for 70% of total tourist arrivals in the first semester of 2023 compared to 72% in the first semester of 2022.  Comparative figures for first semester 2022 and first semester 2023 are given in the table below:
