Tourist arrivals
The number of tourist arrivals increased from 158,818 in the first quarter of 2022 to 305,197 in the first quarter of 2023.
2. Tourist arrivals by air increased from 158,008 in the first quarter of 2022 to 299,082 in the first quarter of 2023 while those arriving by sea increased from 810 to 6,115.
3. The performance of our usual main markets, accounted for 68% of total tourist arrivals in the first quarter of 2023 compared to 69% in the first quarter of 2022. Comparative figures for first quarter 2022 and first quarter 2023 are given in the table below:
