PRODUCER PRICE INDEX – MANUFACTURING (PPI-M) - 3rd Quarter 2025

1. PPI-M measures changes in the effective prices received by producers of the manufacturing sector for that part of their output sold on the domestic market. It does not cover Export Oriented Enterprises, the products of which are mainly meant for export.

2. PPI-M which stood at 166.0 in June 2025, registered an increase of 1.2 points (+0.7%) to reach 167.2 in September 2025. On a monthly basis, PPI-M increased by 1.1 points (+0.7%) in July, decreased by 0.3 point (-0.2%) in August and increased by 0.4 point (+0.2%) in September 2025.

3. The average PPI-M for the third quarter of 2025 stood at 167.0, i.e., an increase of 3.0 points (+1.8%) from 164.0 in the second quarter of 2025. This increase was mainly attributable to higher prices of “Food products and beverages" (+3.3%), “Wearing apparel" (+1.9%), “Fabricated metal products" (+0.9%), “Chemicals and Chemical Products" (+0.7%), “Other transport equipment" (+6.3%), “Other non-metallic mineral products" (+1.5%), and “Other manufacturing products" (+1.8%), partly offset by decreases in prices of “Rubber and plastic products" (-1.6%).

Compared to the corresponding quarter of 2024, the average PPI-M for the third quarter of 2025 increased by 10.9 points (+7.0%), mainly explained by higher prices of “Food products and beverages" (+8.3%), “Wearing apparel" (+12.6%), “Fabricated metal products" (+4.5%), “Rubber and plastic products" (+9.2%), “Machinery and equipment, n.e.c" (+21.1%), “Motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers" (+29.5%), “Chemicals and Chemical Products" (+2.4%), “Other transport equipment" (+11.1%), “Other non-metallic mineral products" (+3.3%) and “Other manufacturing products" (+18.1%).
