1. Monthly index
Overall index
- - PPI-A, 189.5 in September 2025, has decreased by 7.3% to reach 175.6 in December 2025. The monthly changes were as follows: October (-3.9%), November (+0.4%) and December (-3.9%).
Sugar cane
- The index for the period July 2025 to December 2025 was 253.6 based on the forecasted price of sugar for the crop year 2025-2026. This represents a decrease of 10.4% over the price of sugar for the crop year 2024-2025.
Other crop products
- - The index for "Other crop products" which was 179.3 in September 2025, has decreased by 23.8% to reach 136.7 in December 2025, mainly due to a decrease of 25.5% in the prices of “fresh vegetables" such as creepers (-36.5%) and some other fresh vegetables (-37.8%), partly mitigated by an increase of 71.1% in the prices of tomato. In addition, a decrease of 38.4% in the prices of “fruits and nuts" such as pineapple (-22.7%) was noted.
Animals and animal products
- The index for the sub-group "Animals and animal products" which was 166.8 in September 2025, has increased by 1.1% to reach 168.7 in December 2025, due to an increase of 5.5% in the prices of eggs and of 1.0% in the prices of cattle.
2. Quarterly index
- - The overall index for the fourth quarter of 2025 decreased by 3.8% and 3.5% when compared to the previous and corresponding quarter respectively.
