​1. Monthly index

Overall index

•     -  PPI-A, which was 195.4 in September 2024, decreased by 3.5% to reach 188.5 in December 2024. The monthly changes were as follows: October (-2.4%), November (-1.9%) and December (+0.7%).
  
  Sugar cane
      -  The index for the period July to December 2024 was 292.9 based on the forecasted price of sugar for the crop year 2024-2025. This represents a decrease of 8.1% over the price of sugar for the crop year 2023-2024.

Other crop products

•    -  The index for "Other crop products" which was 173.6 in September 2024, decreased by 10.1% to reach 156.1 in December 2024, mainly due to a decrease of 23.7% in the prices of fresh vegetables such as creepers (-35.7%) and other fresh vegetables (-34.5%), partly mitigated by an increase of 9.5% in the prices of fruits and nuts.
  
   Animals and animal products
      -  The index for the sub-group "Animals and animal products" which was 165.7 in September 2024, decreased by 1.1% to reach 163.9 in December 2024, due to decreases in the prices of poultry (-1.5%) and eggs (-0.4%), partly mitigated by an increase of 1.0% in the prices of cattle.

2. Quarterly index

• ​ ​  -  The overall index for the for the fourth quarter of 2024 decreased by 2.9% when compared to the previous quarter and increased by 2.9% when compared to the corresponding quarter.
