Tourist arrivals
1. The number of tourist arrivals increased from 3,225 in the first semester of 2021 to 376,556 in the first semester of 2022.
2. Tourist arrivals by air increased from 3,047 in the first semester of 2021 to 375,246 in the first semester of 2022 while those arriving by sea increased from 178 to 1,310.
3. The performance of our usual main markets, accounted for 72% of total tourist arrivals in the first semester of 2022 compared to 44% in the first semester of 2021. Comparative figures for first semester 2021 and first semester 2022 are given in the table below:
