1. Monthly index
Overall index

- PPI-A, which was 188.5 in June 2024, increased by 3.1% to reach 194.3 in September 2024. The monthly changes were as follows: July (+1.4%), August (+2.1%) and September (-0.5%).
Sugar cane
- The index for the period July to September 2024 was 292.9 based on the forecasted price of sugar for the crop year 2024-2025. This represents a decrease of 8.1% over the price of sugar for the crop year 2023-2024.
Other crop products

- The index for "Other crop products" which was 148.9 in June 2024, increased by 14.4% to reach 170.3 in September 2024, mainly due to an increase of 12.4% in the prices of fresh vegetables such as creepers (+10.4%), cabbage (+28.8%) and other fresh vegetables (+6.0%) and, an increase of 25.2% in the prices of fruits and nuts such as banana (+4.6%) and pineapple (+1.0%).
Animals and animal products
- The index for the sub-group "Animals and animal products" which was 156.9 in June 2024, increased by 5.6% to reach 165.7 in September 2024, mainly due to increases in the prices of poultry (+5.7%), eggs (+7.2%) and cattle (+2.0%).
2. Quarterly index

- The overall index for the third quarter of 2024 decreased by 1.0% when compared to the previous quarter and increased by 3.2% when compared to the corresponding quarter.
