1. Monthly index
Overall index
- PPI-A, which was 142.1 in June 2022, increased by 9.4% to reach 155.5 in September 2022. The monthly increases were as follows: July (+1.8%), August (+4.7%) and September (+2.6%).

Sugar cane
- The index for the period July to September 2022 was 185.4 based on the forecasted price of sugar for the crop year 2022-2023. This represents an increase of 7.4% over the price of sugar for the crop year 2021.
Other crop products

- The index for "Other crop products" which was 120.5 in June 2022, increased by 18.4% to reach 142.7 in September 2022, mainly due to increases in the prices of fresh vegetables (creepers and other fresh vegetables) (+20.0%) and, fruits and nuts (+22.5%).
Animals and animal products

- The index for the sub-group "Animals and animal products" which was 144.3 in June 2022, increased by 4.7% to reach 151.1 in September, mainly due to increases in the prices of poultry (+8.4%), partly offset by decreases in the prices of eggs (-5.9%).
2. Quarterly index
- The overall index for the third quarter of 2022 increased by 2.2% and 27.0% when compared to the previous and corresponding quarters respectively.
