In 2010, the UN Statistical Commission endorsed 20 October as the date of the World Statistics Day (WSD), a one-off event, aimed at raising awareness of the contribution of official statistics. Since then, the WSD is celebrated every five years. In 2025, WSD 2025 was launched with “Quality Statistics And Data for Everyone" as theme.
