1. The Construction Price Index, which stood at 114.6 as at March 2017, increased by 0.1% to reach 114.7 in April 2017. Thereafter, the index remained at the same level up to June 2017.
2. The rise from 114.6 in March 2017 to 114.7 in April 2017 was the result of an increase of 4.3% in the prices of sanitary installation and a decrease of 0.1% in the prices of metal openings. In May 2017, the index remained at 114.7 though increases of 0.6 % in the prices of timber carpentry and 0.7 % in the prices of adhesive were noted. The index remained at the same level in June 2017
3. As a consequence of the above changes, the “Materials” sub-index registered a slight drop of 0.1% to reach 112.1 in March 2017 and remained at the same point in May and June 2017.
4. During the first quarter of 2017, no change was registered in the “Labour”, “Hire of plant” and “Transport” sub-indices.
